sowerHappy Springtime! In the Parable of the Sower, the Seed [God's Word] sown by the wayside, in rocky soil and among the thorns was never rooted nor grounded in the soil of their hearts. The hearers did not understand nor comprehend the Good News because their hearts we're hardened, not truly turned to Jesus for healing. But for those who were healed, the Lord said:

"The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God's word and produce a harvest thirty, sixty or even a hundred times as much as had been planted" (Matthew 13:23, NLT).

A Hearer's Response . . .

Happy Valentines! The Holy Bible is God's love story. The Scriptures contain the knowledge that God has provided forgiveness of sin and eternal life as a free gift to whoever receives Jesus Christ, but due to spiritual blindness and lack of faith in God's promises, people remain captive to their fallen nature, caused by sin and spiritual death.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV).

God's Love Story: The Holy Bible . . .

You may want to use the Bible Gateway app until you get a physical, paper Bible to read and study.

Happy New Year! Jesus came into the world as a baby like us, except born of a virgin with the prophesied name, "Immanuel", meaning "God with us." 1 After His finished works on earth, He arose from the dead as Lord and Savior of the world, promising the Holy Spirit for our empowerment to "Go" into all the world with the Good News of the cross. He said:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded them, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." 2

Jesus says, "Come and Go..."

The Beatles gave us their last song, "Now and Then", but God gave us the Great Commission through Jesus Christ,  Who said, "Come to Me" and "Go" into all the world.

truepeaceMerry Christmas!  Jesus was born to bring peace in our hearts through His blood and righteousness, providing right standing with God for us. But not an end of all wars until the judgment at His Second Coming, when He will rule and reign forever as the Prince of Peace. After His birth, Luke wrote:

"Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others--the armies of heaven--praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased." 1

A Last Beatles’ Song Response...

"I am a young, Christian man who is an amateur musician and avid music lover, who has always found it disturbing how The Beatles' music and message were falsely interpreted to propel Manson's violent ideology."

countblessingsHappy Thanksgiving! We have many things to be thankful for in our lives, but make sure you thank God for the greatest gift of all -- forgiveness and eternal life with Jesus forever in heaven.  Also, thank God for your purpose, like when the Lord sent out the apostle Paul, saying:

"I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God's people, who are set apart by faith in me." 1

fall leavesHarvest time! For two millenniums, workers in the Church have planted and watered Gospel seeds, while God has given the increase. Hence, the Holy Spirit revealed through those workers our need for God’s grace and truth. Today, I pray you will ask yourself what part you are playing in the planting harvest.

“The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.” 1

A Personal Touch…

While technology is wonderful for sharing the testimony of Jesus, the personal touch must not be left out of our witness.

happyOh, Happy Day! My greatest desire is to see folks come to Jesus. But I know my labor is in vain without the work of the Holy Spirit. He is the One who opens hearts and gives understanding to lost souls. My prayer is that your heart will be opened to His awesome love and grace.

“’No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.’ But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.” 1

freedom

Welcome! This ministry started over 45 years ago by writing a one-page newsletter; then a testimony brochure, a book and recording messages in the late 70s. With the help of my loved ones, those tapes are slowly going up on our podcast. But, without the grace of God, these efforts would have never come about. The apostle Paul wrote:

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” 1

Some Podcast Responses…

It’s amazing how the Lord brings folks into my life for encouragement.

freedomCelebrating Freedom! It is perpetual freedom for those of us who have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ – continuing forever. His hand is upon our lives, always moving and directing. We are not insignificant in His eyes, but rather highly esteemed, with a unique calling. Along with Jesus, we can proclaim:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” 1

sinorsalvationHappy Father’s Day! I’m thankful for the memories of fishing and working on my car with my dad. These memories will last a lifetime, but many of you were not as fortunate. Regardless, we have the Heavenly Father to work with and be with throughout all eternity.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1

trustingHappy Memorial Day! My purpose is to share God’s Word in hopes to change your worldview into the reality of God’s love and grace. Thus, helping you to realize that God isn’t holding your sins against you, because of the finished works of Christ. The apostle Paul wrote:

”So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 1

because he livesHappy Resurrection Day! One of my best memories of a resurrection day is watching Annie Herring play and sing her “Easter Song” in 1978 at the California Men’s Colony chapel. I had experienced my own, personal resurrection there a few years earlier, when I was born again on May 23, 1975.

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1

romansroadHappy Springtime: My sole purpose is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, Who took our punishment for sin at the cross. His blood made peace with God, and His resurrection gave us eternal life and joy in the Holy Spirit.

“This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.” 1

jesus loves meHappy Valentine’s Day! True security is based on God’s love. It’s not an emotion, but a matter of fact, since God proved His love for us by sending His Son to die for our sins. He rose from the dead and sealed us with the Holy Spirit, regenerating our hearts. As a result, we have forgiveness, purpose and security.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” 1

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. are you born againAmazing Grace! I’m often asked, “What keeps you going?” Simply, the love of Christ “compels” me, or “holds me together” no matter how dim things look. The apostle Paul wrote:

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 1
