Amazing Grace

"How sweet the soundgrace01
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see"

God's amazing grace has been defined over the years in many ways:

  • Grace is the undeserved, unmerited, and unearned favor of God (the moment you try to merit the free favor of God, His grace is nullified, Galations 2:21).
  • Grace is the personal presence of Jesus, enabling or empowering me to do all that God has called me to do, and all that God has made me to be.
  • Grace is God's ability working in me, making me able to do what I cannot do in my own ability.
  • Grace is God's Riches At Christ's Expense.

Although we have tried in every way to change our character and nature, we have never been able. In our own ability, we can do nothing, but nulify God's grace. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ can we truly change.

The prophet Jeremiah asked this question: "Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots?" (13:23). The answer is 'no'. No matter how hard you try to change through your good works or by the do's and don'ts of life, you cannot change your sinful nature.

We invite you to come to know the amazing grace and love of God. Romans 5:8 in the New Living Translation (NLT) says, "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."

God loves you no matter what! The Apostle John wrote, "This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins" (1 John 4:10 NLT). Is there any doubt that ". . . God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16 NLT).

Grace is Jesus. "For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17).

It is solely because of God's love and grace that you can be saved TODAY! God is not angry at you! He has provided everything thing for you that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

In the Gospel Outreach section of our web site, you have set before you the way of salvation. We pray that by reading and hearing the Good News of Christ, God will persuade your heart to trust Him thereby receiving His gift of eternal life.

At last, you will come to know and experience God's love! You will never be the same as the peace of God floods your soul. "Let us therefore come boldy unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).

Meditate these Scriptures:

"For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17 NKJV).

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9 NKJV).

"For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 1:9).

"So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe" (Romans 4:16 NLT).

"For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds" (Titus 2:11-14 NLT).
