Welcome! You may be on this site for the first time; amazed that a former Manson family member could be forgiven and reaching out to the world. Well, it's true! I am forgiven and you are too, if you will only receive Christ's payment for sin. this is the good news! I beg you to spend time on this website in a allow the Lord to change your heart and life.
From A Teenager...
I'm just a teen, but I've been wanting to write to you, and I finally am. I started reading stuff on the so-called "Manson Family" and though you were a big part of the crimes, and I don't know you personally, I couldn't help but feel bad.
I haven't been able to read any of your books because I couldn't find them. As glad as I am you found God, I'm not the most religious person. How can I find God? I have read a Bible once, but I don't own one.
I don't know how much mail you get, or if you get any hate mail, but I'm not judging you, because only God can, and I feel God forgave you. Plus, you have apologized. Thank you, and God bless you! Ian, WA, USA
Teens Finding God...
Ian is like a lot of teenagers who write to me needing God. They need love and encouragement to receive Christ, so they'll be connected to God for life. Listen to one of Solomon's proverbs,
"My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don't lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body." 1
See, God is not lost, we are until we receive God's Word into our hearts for healing. Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh, who paid for our sin on the cross and rose again. Then, He poured out the Holy Spirit from heaven to regenerate our hearts with His power and love, connecting us to God.
This will not make sense unless you are experiencing the pain that sin causes and realized your need for healing. Since we are separated from God before accepting Christ, we must believe that God provided Christ so that we can be connected to Him as a result, we turn our will and our lives over to him for salvation, healing, deliverance and prosperity.
Relationship, Not Religion...
Being connected to God is not a religion, but a relationship with Him. As we begin to understand God's love, forgiveness and acceptance through hearing His Word, we become extremely thankful and appreciative for the gift of righteousness and eternal life. As a result, we become thankful for our life in general.
To understand God's Word, we must hear it daily through reading and meditation. I suggest the New Living Translation (NLT), which is easy to understand the message. "So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ." 2
The NLT Bible is often given out free at Calvary Chapels around the world. One can be found close to you by searching on Google. These chapels cater to the youth and have a desire to reach children early in their lives. You'd feel right at home, developing a relationship not only with God but with his people.
Future And Hope...
It's not all about my past, but your salvation in future. Coming to Christ is all about His love and power to change your heart, which transforms your life and future. Nothing can change your past, but God has a glorious future and hope for you, if you'll get on the right path. Jesus said,
"You can enter God's kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." 3
You may be choosing that broad way to hell right now like I was in the 60's. It's never too late to change your mind and choose life through Jesus Christ. The above words of Jesus say that many choose the broad highway to hell but you can be one of the few who chooses to walk through the narrow gate. Won't you receive Christ today?
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." 4
The Lord wants you to be part of his family with a glorious future and a hope. I was deceived in the 60's, not realizing that His is the real family. Are you deceived? Today, you can join God's family by believing and receiving Jesus Christ.
A Prayer For You...
Jesus, I turn from trusting in myself and my own works for salvation. I confess that You are my Lord. I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead, and I receive your gift of salvation right now by faith. Thank You for revealing Your love and grace to me!
Father, I recognize my need for Your power to understand Your word and to live this new life. I desire to receive Your revelation knowledge. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. By faith, I receive it right now. Thank You for baptizing me. Holy Spirit, You are welcome in my life! Amen.
