September 2014

Thank you for all the wonderful praise reports concerning the renewed website. We have added several letters to "What People Say." We're so humbled by the amazing results.

"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!" 1

Monthly Updates...

For your convenience, if you leave your email address, we'll let you know when an update takes place. The website will be updated at least once monthly, but a new word from the Lord will be available daily.

The Lord is always speaking to us as we spend time in prayer, God's word and meditation. As He speaks to you, it helps to speak His word aloud for it to be confirmed in your heart.

Listen to how the apostle Paul addressed the church at Corinth,

I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge. This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true. Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns." 2

Are you ready for the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns?

A Daily Word

As you grow in the Lord, you'll find that you need a daily word from God. For this reason, we are offering "Spurgeon's Morning and Evening" under Resources. My prayer is that you will be lead to read his devotions at the beginning and end of each day.

Charles Spurgeon writes to Christians who want to see god do great things in their lives. With timeless wisdom from the Bible, he discusses the persons and awesome power of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Daily, you can be the recipient of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit Himself, in addition to the love and joy that He freely gives. Experience His miracle-working power in your life today.

"Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the god of our salvation." 3

Hidden Gems

This website is like a treasure hunt. There are always things on the site you haven't read yet. People are always asking me about things that are on the site before finding them.

I appreciate your many questions, but I have commented on some things all that I can, especially my past. This is why I seek for you to enjoy the present with me in Christ and to look forward to the hope of our glorious future together.

I recall the advice of a man named Zig Zigler, whose class I took years ago on on the fallacy of living in the past. He said it's like driving your car always looking in the rear-view mirror. It's not a healthy way to drive, nor to live in the past. It can even be deadly.

Treasure Hunters

For those of you researching my past, you'll find two free downloads of books I have written about my past. I realize these are not sufficient for some of you, but I have shared the truth and noting but the truth, so help me God.

I would suggest getting a life in Christ. He is the treasure in life and when we seek and find Him, we'll be content. Besides, He desires to place His treasures in us by shining His light in our heart. For those of us who believe and receive,

"For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?" 4

Once you receive and experience Christ -- His salvation and righteousness in your heart, you'll thank God for your new-found freedom from your past. There will be consequences in life for your sin, but god remembers your past no more. He put all your sins on Jesus at the cross and cast them behind his back. Your heavenly Father has no rear view mirror.

"Indeed it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back." 5

Won't you be free from your past today?

A Prayer for You

Father, today I choose to believe the truth and be free from my past. Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and my savior, now and forever. I believe you rose from the dead and are alive today. Because of Your finished work, I am a beloved child of God and heaven is my home. Thank you for giving me eternal life, and filling my heart with your peace and joy. Amen.
