Be My Valentine! My desire is to share in a more personal way, now that I'm on TikTok as well. I have a message that you need to hear not only in your ears, but in your heart. One of love, faith and hope for lonely hearts to be filled and overflowing with the Spirit.
" . . . the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, temperance; against such there is no law" (Galatians 5:22, 23, KJV).
A New Valentine . . .
Recently, Gaylan showed up as a contact on my tablet, asking for help.
She felt unaccepted by churches, because of her tattoos and precious lifestyle. She had heard of the ministry from a volunteer coming into a South Carolina County jail where she was housed as a prisoner. I was able to steer her towards God's Word, my New Believer's Class on the website and to my book Christianity For Fools to rid her of guilt, shame and condemnation. She soaked up the Truth of her new identity like a sponge. This made my heart rejoice, ". . . for the Kingdom of God . . . is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17, NKJV).
My actual job is an ADA (Adult Disability Act) worker helping men fill out their paperwork and to be there for them. I'm to old to push their wheelchairs, but I'm able to be a listening ear, and to share what has worked for me over the years. Most men just need to be heard and to know that someone cares for them. It doesn't cost a thing to be friendly. The apostle Paul exhorted us to, "Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other" (Romans 12;10, NLT).
But 24/7, I'm all about the work of the ministry. For the past 45+ years, Abounding Love Ministries [1980] has been reaching out from behind prison walls to the world. In 1997, the website allowed us to distribute our materials online, rather than through the mail. Then in 2023, the opportunity arose for my old cassette messages in storage to be digitized for the podcast. Now, all the ministries have been brought together on TikTok to reach the multitudes, especially the younger generation. I pray for faith to arise in hearts for healing through God's love. Selah!
What's My Day Like?
In my latter years, I'm witnessing ". . . to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). My strength isn't focused on the chapel prison ministry, but upon you. The youngsters serve the Chaplain like I did for 40+ years. My service is one on one on the yard during breakfast mostly, and in the housing unit doing my ADA job. Some men have chronic illnesses, with a short time left before passing into eternity. The Holy Spirit directs my path to men who need compassion and a word of encouragement.
However, the majority of my days are spent in the cell. Some call it isolation, but I call it solitude, similar to a monk cutting out the world to hear from God. I write, answer letters, message contacts and work with the ministry team. It's not a life of misery and drudgery like many people view prisons and old folk's homes. My days are filled with being productive, sending out scripts for TikTok videos and trusting the Lord for the next exciting project. Plus, I enjoy listening to Klove and Family Radio, while multitasking. It's a life of righteousness, peace and joy in the Spirit.
What you see on Aboundinglove.org, hear on the Podcast and on TikTok, came through me living in the presence of God throughout the day. It has been my pleasure to dedicate my life to the service of my King, the Lord Jesus Christ for the past half century.
The Past Isn't Reality . . .
I find that many contacting the ministry are blindsided by their past. They have no hope, having been robbed of their future by living in the rear view mirror or by future robbing thoughts. They justify looking backwards in order to not repeat it. One might gain hindsight, but living in the power of the Kingdom of God presently is the way to experience true freedom from fear, guilt, shame, condemnation and insecurity.
This ministry is all about living in the Kingdom of God's love and grace. The past can only drag you down by being your own worst enemy. Whereas, living with the mind of Christ keeps the enemy of your soul at bay. The past isn't reality any longer for those who are New Creations in Christ. For those who are born of the Spirit, ". . . old things are passed away, behold all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV). Reality is what Jesus did at the cross to forgive your sins, secure your heart and give you new life throughout eternity. "For He rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son, who purchased our freedom with His own blood and forgave our sins" (Colossians 1;13, 14, NLT).
Of course, I deeply regret the pain and deaths that were caused by my heart of pride, greed, lust, envy, fear, anger and laziness. I took lives that will forever be left unfinished on earth. But what could I have done constructively, other than repent and find peace with God, myself and others through faith and hope in Christ? Nothing else worked! Jesus said, "My peace I give you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27, NKJV). I searched for answers elsewhere for several years, but it only drove me into the hands of those who tried to fix my lost soul with man's wisdom. Paul said, "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy, and empty deceit according to the traditions of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not after Christ" (Colossians 2:8, NKJV).
Present Possibilities . . .
Folks find it difficult to believe that healing in Jesus Christ could be so simple and easy. Mankind has made it impossible for someone like me to be healed. Jesus agreed! He said, "With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible " (Matthew 19:26). Who would have thought that God could transform my life after hearing of my part in the Manson cult murders? God not only forgave my sin and provided eternal life, but has empowered me to live a victorious Christian life for over a half century.
I'm now sharing that life with you. It's a miracle, like with Gaylan, who contacted me after being released from county jail. She moved from a shelter along with her cats in SC to MD, where God provided an apartment within her budget. She's on fire for Jesus, having finished my New Believer's Class, listened to many of my podcasts, read my books and most of the New Testament. She's also taking classes preparing for the LSAT to enter law school. And, she found a place to remove her Satanic tattoo for free.
I've seen many miracles throughout the decades of ministry. Are you one of those whose eyes have been opened to turn from darkness to light? From the power of Satan to God, and have received forgiveness for your sins and given a place among God's people, who are set apart by faith in Jesus [Acts 26:18].

BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus!
CONFESS Him as Lord and
CALL on Him to Be Saved!
A Prayer For You . . .
Father, I turn from my sin, knowing that You love, accept and forgive me, because of Jesus' blood and righteousness. I confess Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead for my salvation, righteousness and eternal life. I call on you now to be saved in Jesus' Name. Come into my life Lord Jesus and live Your life through me. Amen!
