The purpose of the Monthly View is to affect the way you see God. For our view to change, our spiritual eyes must be opened to The Revelation of Jesus Christ. The word "revelation" comes from the Greek word “apokalypsis” which means "unveiling or disclosure", and in this case, the unveiling or disclosure of Jesus Christ.

The Hidden Jesus

The gospel or good news of Jesus Christ was hidden from me for years. The Apostle Paul in the Bible writes: “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.” 1The first step in my recovery was admitting that I was lost. The gods of this world had blinded my mind, robbing my childhood beliefs in God. Many people tried to share the good news of Jesus Christ through their shining examples, but in my rebellious state, I would have nothing to do with them. 2

The latest procedure in eye surgery uses a laser device to produce an intense light beam to remove the cloudiness of the lens called cataracts. It is the light of God that removes blindness or scales from our spiritual eyes so that the revelation of Jesus Christ can be unveiled. This is one of my favorite Scriptures: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness [at creation], has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God [that is seen] in the face of Jesus Christ.” 3

The Lord did spiritual surgery on the eyes of my heart. I was bound by selfishness: self-will, selfcenteredness and selflove, which propelled me into fulfilling the lust of my flesh. 4 I could not see that God desired to fulfill all my need by placing a treasure in my heart that would provide the power to live an abundant life. 5 That power is the person of the Holy Spirit, Who comes to live in those who have the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ

Over the years, I have found that a clear and simple revelation of Jesus Christ is missing not only in the heart of the lost, but also in the defeated Christian. This revelation brings salvation to the unbeliever, and assures an overcoming life to the believer. It is the Holy Spirt that illuminates [lights up or makes clear] the revelation of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit convinces the world [people under it's system]: 1) of sin, because the world's sin is unbelief in Jesus; 2) of righteousness, because righteousness is available through Jesus and 3) of judgment, because the prince of this world [satan] has already been judged. 6

One who believes in the revelation of Jesus Christ agrees that the blood of Christ provided forgiveness of all sin at the cross, and that His blood cleanses us from all of sin's blame and accredits to us the righteousness of Christ or right standing with God. “God in His gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's wrath against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed His blood, sacrificing His life for us.”7

As a result, our spirit comes alive because we have been made right with God. 8 The Apostle Paul writes: “For His Spirit speaks to us in our hears and tells us that we are God's children. And since we are His children, we will share His treasure -- for everything God gives to His Son, Christ, is ours, too. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.” 9 But “I am convinced that nothing can separate us from His love. Death can't and life can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 10

The Love Of God

In the last book of the Bible, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, speaks of the seven golden candlesticks, which represent the church. Our Heavenly Father reveals His love for us through His Son, Jesus Christ. He " the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests unto God." 11

The LORD reveals us as "golden" candlesticks, but at the same time in Revelation chapters 2 and 3, He points out the world's sins that have crept into the seven churches. He sees the light shining in only two churches, and He criticizes the others for turning away from the love of God, tolerating immorality, idolatry and heresies, allowing clergy to lord over the people, cursing one another, tolerating a cult of idolatry, a spirit of whoredom and fornication, a dying church, and another that is spiritually lukewarm. The church is told to repent [turn from the world's sins to God], otherwise, we will loose our light and testimony as a church in these last days.

The Power to Witness

It is the person of the Holy Spirit that gives the light and ability for the church to witness. Jesus said, "But you shall receive power [ability], after the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses [proclaim what one believes unto death] unto me [the revelation of Jesus Christ] both in Jerusalem, and in Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.'' 12 We are all called to he a witness of the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The power to witness comes through the revelation [unveiling] of Jesus Christ, His blood and righteousness. It is time for the last days church to rise up with the message of Jesus' blood and righteousness [right standing with God]. “For I am not ashamed of gospel of Jesus Christ [His blood and righteousness], for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes [in His blood and righteousness]; to the Jew first [Acts 2], and also to the Greeks [Acts 10]. For therein [the gospel] is the righteousness of God revealed [the revelation of Jesus Christ] from faith to faith, as it is written, The just [righteous] shall by faith [in His blood and righteousness].” 13

The message is that salvation comes to both Jew and Greek [Gentile] through the word of righteousness [right standing with God] through the blood of Christ. "The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart ... That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." 14

Confessing with our mouth

Confession is saying the same thing God says about His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation comes through confessing with our mouth the Lord Jesus Christ [His blood and righteousness]. We believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead to give us this miraculous life.

Our spirit is regenerated by the Holy Spirit when we are born-again, but our souls still have a need for salvation through”...the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” 15 Salvation of our soul works the same, by confession with our mouth the Lord Jesus Christ [His blood and righteousness]. “For with the heart [spirit & soul ] man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation [ spirit & soul].” 16

Confession is made unto salvation. which means to be made whole, well, delivered, healed, made sound, liberated, given victory and to be rescued. The revelation of Jesus Christ provides this and more, but for now, our confession will be only what the blood of Jesus Christ means to us. Our voice is to be loud, saying: "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren [satan] who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they [the church] overcame him [the accuser of the brethren] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony [His blood and righteousness], and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, 0 heavens, and who dwell in them!” 17

A Confession for you...

I am purchased from the slave market of sin with the blood of Jesus Christ. I am justified by grace, redeemed by Christ and declared righteous by faith. I am made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ and saved from His judgment. I am bought with a high price. I glorify God in spirit and body which is God's temple. I am blessed because I share in the benefits of the blood of Jesus Christ. I am God's property, once far away, but now I'm near to God by the blood. I have peace with God through the blood of the cross, reconciled to God. I am forgiven of my sins which would be impossible without the shedding of blood. I have boldness to enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. I have a new and living way to enter into God's presence through the sacred veil by Jesus' death. I have fellowship with God. because the blood of Jesus cleansed me from all sin. I am blood bought for God's purpose, causing me to reign as a priest in God's kingdom. I overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.
