September 2009
Welcome to this month's
view! It is my prayer that you are in the
best of health; in spirit, soul, and body.
As the Apostle John writes, "Beloved,
I pray that you may prosper in all things
and be in health, just as your soul prospers."1
In other words, our prosperity and health
depends upon the condition of our soul [our
thoughts, choices, and emotions].
Tell A Friend or Foe
This website proclaims
the prosperity and health of the spirit,
soul, and body, flowing through a personal-loving
relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
We were privileged to share the Good News
of Christ with tens of thousands of individuals
who hit this site hundreds of thousands
of times during last month's 40th anniversary.
The response was amazing!
Since Christ came into
my life thirty-five years ago, I am surprised
when people write, only now hearing of my
salvation. This enforces my belief that
the power of Christ's testimony to save
even a former Manson family member is important
in order to foil the belief that the devil
got the last word in my life; "...because
greater is God in our lives than he that
is in this world."2
Will you work with us to
tell your loved ones about the power of
God to save the lost? This ministry started
in the late '70s, when the Lord revealed
to me that He desires for the Good News
about my salvation to be shared more than
the bad news the media publishes concerning
the Manson family murders.
If you agree with this
vision, please pass along our web address
to your family and friends. This can be
done through a praise report by e-mail,
through Facebook, Twitter, or however you
desire to spread the Gospel message. Let
us proclaim, "That we may publish with
the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all
the Lord's wonderous works."3
Amen!
From the Mailbox
It's my privilege to share
a few excerpts from the letters of those
whose souls are prospering and in health,
as well as other exhortations, so that you
may rejoice with us in the Lord.
Malta,
MT - I thought about you all day as I drove
the tractor, so when I came home, I knew
I needed to write you a letter. You are
in my prayers, and I am so happy to have
you to write to and have you as a friend.
Through you, I see "THE MOST HIGH GOD"
clearer, and that makes me happy.
I
just read your July and August Monthly Views
and enjoyed them. I am sure they touch and
help many people. Do you get a lot of people
who comment each month? In your August view,
you state that it is the 40th Anniversary,
and when I read that, I found two verses
for you, Charles. You are so good to share
verses with everyone on your website, so
now I get to share a couple of verses to
you; for you.
"May our Lord Jesus
Christ Himself and God our Father, who
loved us and by His grace gave us eternal
encouragement and good hope, encourage
your hearts and strengthen you in every
good deed and word."4
"Come now, let us
reason together, " says the LORD.
"Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow, though
they are red as crimson, they shall be
as wool."5
He has done great things
for us and that encourages us. Hope your
college courses are going well. I believe
I read that you should finish in August.
Let me know. Your friend, Orin
[I'm
happy to announce that I've finished college,
graduating with a B.S. in Business Management.
The purpose was to finish what I started
before I got off course in the '60s.]
A First Time Writer
Honesdale, PA - I hope
this letter is able to reach you. I have
been blessed over a long time by your website,
and have utilized the information in the
work that I occasionally do in the area
of spiritual warfare. I have preached on
many occasions about the power of God's
healing love demonstrated in your conversion,
and it is an inspiration to me. I think
that you have been blessed by God with a
wonderful ministry and opportunity to positively
influence people, so I encourage you to
always persevere in that work. The story
of God's work in your life is truly a deep
revelation of His love and Gospel, and it
has urged me on to a deeper conversion and
fully faithful commitment to Jesus.
You are in my prayers often, and I would
also appreciate yours, for I also, in the
eyes of God, in the words of the Apostle
Paul, am "the chief of sinners."
May we all know His forgiveness, peace,
redeeming love, spiritual walk, and expectancy
of the day of our ultimate redemption. He
is truly coming soon. Charles, you were
forgiven two thousand years ago. I am glad
that truth is alive in you, two thousand
years later. As Jacob said, I will not let
you go 'til you bless me. Don't ever let
God go, no matter what. He will never let
you go. He will never leave you nor forsake
you. You already sit in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus. May the Peace of God live
in your heart.
As I read your parole hearing, I recognized
many things, and one of them is that we,
as a society, apart from other issues, need
to assist people in their growth by recognizing,
sincerely, when growth has occurred. I sense
perhaps people think they can never recognize
it for fear it would justify doing what
they do not wish to do. The good news is,
there is no situation we get into that God
is unable to extricate us from, according
to His will. Thank you for your website.
It is truly a blessing. - Pastor Thomas
[Orin and Pastor Tomas are examples of men
who walk in the Spirit of prosperity and
success like the Psalmist David, who sung:
"Blessed is the man who walks not in
the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in
the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat
of the scornful; but his delight is in the
law of the LORD. He shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that brings
forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf
also shall not wither; and whatever he does
shall prosper."6]
Prosperity & Success
True prosperity and success
comes by faith in God's word, "So then
faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the
word of God."7
Since "hearing" also means "obeying,"
faith comes by hearing and obeying the word
of God [the sayings of Jesus]. Faith is
believing and acting upon what God says
about Jesus' blood and righteousness: the
finished work of the cross. "For He
[God] made Him [Jesus] who knew no sin to
be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him."8
"For God sent Jesus
to take the punishment for our sins and
to satisfy God's anger against us. We
are made right with God when we believe
that Jesus shed His blood, sacrificing
His life for us."9
Next, prosperity and success
comes through meditating [repeatedly hearing]
God's word. Meditate means to "mutter"
or "chew" over and over like a
cow chews her cud to digest her food. We
ruminate upon God's word by saying it over
and over, as Joshua exhorts: "This
book of the Law shall not depart from your
mouth, but you shall meditate in it day
and night, that you may observe to do according
to all that is written in it, for then you
will make your way prosperous, and then
you will have good success."10
"For everything
comes from Him; everything exists by His
power and is intended for His glory. To
Him be glory evermore. Amen"11
Finally, prosperity and
success comes through confessing God's word
with your mouth. Confession is "saying
the same thing " that God says about
our sin, and what God says about the solution
for sin. "If we confess our sins, He
is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."12
"That if you confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe
in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. For
with the heart one believes unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. For the Scripture says
'For whoever calls on the name
of the LORD shall be saved."13
We become more like Christ,
as we come into agreement with God's word
-- the New Covenant. The Spirit of prosperity
and health will flow unconditional love
and gratitude through our lives to bring
salvation to everyone we meet. "The
grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the
love of God, and the communion of the Holy
Spirit be with you all. Amen."14
A Prayer For You ...
The following prayer is
adapted from a Hebrew prayer titled: "Alvinu
Malkeinu" -- Our Father, our King;
said in Rosh Hashanah* services. Rosh Hashanah,
The Jewish New Year, also known as the Feast
of Trumpet,15 falls on September 19, 2009,
this year.
Our Father, our King we
have sinned against you. Have compassion
on us and on our children. Our Father, our
King, make an end to sickness, war, and
hunger. Make an end to oppression and give
us the blessing from The Book of Life. Our
Father, our King, be gracious and answer
us, for we have little merit: Treat us generously
and with kindness, help us. For You, oh
Lord, our LORD God, are merciful and gracious,
eternally patient, loving and true, showing
mercy to thousands, forgiving iniquity,
transgression, and sin and granting pardon.
Through your Son, Jesus the Messiah, in
Whose Name we pray, Amen.
Rosh Hashanah is the beginning
of 10 days of repentance, in which Jews,
through prayer and meditation on Scripture,
attempt to experience the reality of God
and to dedicate themselves to the establishment
of God's Kingdom on Earth (by the Messiah)
-- the reign of freedom, justice, and peace
(shalom). The 10 days ends with "Yon
Kippur" -- The Day of Atonement.16
The ministry of John the Baptist and the
early ministry of Jesus was focused on this
idea. "Repent for the Kingdom of God
is at hand." Jesus provides atonement
for us as Christians
